SERVICE TO OTHERS Our church provides service to others many different ways. We give through gifts of our time, talents, and offerings. Here our some of the organizations we help. Presbyterian Urban Mission Presbyterian Urban Mission is a non-profit agency founded in 1975 by Indian Nations Presbytery. The Mission provides a wide range of emergency social services to needy families in a caring, non-judgmental atmosphere. Funded in part by Indian Nations Presbytery, the remainder of the budget comes from private and individual donations and grants. Center for Children and Families Inc. At the Center for Children & Families, Inc., it is our mission "to improve the lives of children through partnerships with families and communities because every boy and girl deserves to grow up safe, nurtured and loved." Dwight Mission provides an atmosphere conducive to spiritual growth for people of all ages. Visitors experience the unique opportunity to join the long line of God’s witnesses who have gathered for fellowship, study, meditation and worship on this peaceful and secluded site Goodland Presbyterian Children's Home The more specific purpose of Goodland Presbyterian Children's Home, Inc. as stated in the Articles of Incorporation is to provide a Christian ministry to children and families in distress or in need of care, supervision, counseling and shelter in a Christian environment and to aid and assist children who are destitute, homeless, abandoned or otherwise in need. The home seeks to fulfill the Scriptural passage found in James 1:27. UMOU is the official on-campus ministry of the Presbyterian, Christian (Disciples of Christ), UCC (United Church of Christ, and Lutheran ELCA denominations. An open, friendly community for students, faculty and staff who want to explore ideas and issues affecting today's world, it is a center for fun, exchange of ideas, challenging opportunities for service, relaxation , personal counseling, and learning about life. It is based on a commitment which encourages diversity and explores controversial issues by listening to the voices in the struggle and affirms the individual's right to act in the light of one's own convictions.
