Please join us at the Warren Theater in Moore this Sunday afternoon for Sunday at the movies.  We will attend the 3:35 showing of the film, 12 Years a Slave, meeting in the lobby at 3:15 p.m.  The movie gives an unflinching account of the true story of Solomon Northrup, a free man living in Saratoga Springs, New York, who was kidnapped and spent a dozen years as a slave in the South, wrongly accused of being a Georgia runaway.  Though it takes place in times past, the film raises issues regarding the state of the nation’s race relations.  Following the viewing of the film, we will adjourn to Freddy’s for conversation and ice cream.
